ON 6 March 2011, the Rose Seidler House, designed by Harry Seidler, will be open to the public.

The Rose Seidler House was designed by Harry Seidler for his parents, Max and Rose, and is located in Wahroonga, on the outskirts of Sydney. Built in the late 1940s, it was his first Australian commission. It is a minimalist, open-plan design with all the modern conveniences of the day.

Hosted by the Historic Houses Trust, the free open day celebrates Harry Seidler as one of the most influential Australian architects of the twentieth century. The open day will feature a presentation, Seidler home movies, a book stall and refreshments.
