Rockville Wine & Co. concept by Design Gallery

Rockville Wine central office core.

LATE LAST year Brisbane design house Design Gallery created a theoretical design concept for Rockville Wine & Co. corporate offices. The challenge was to create a professional presence for the company by upgrading the office and refreshing the brand while being sustainable and creating a collaborative work environment for the staff.

The existing premises was an old warehouse with views of the harbour. Design Gallery responded to the brief by retaining the exposed brick walls, steel beams and bare concrete floor to maintain a sense of rustic charm while adding new eco-friendly and renewable elements such as recycled timber and natural stone.

A freestanding central block of offices allows views of the water to be celebrated with large windows that merge the inside with the outside. Country style elements such as carved sandstone and timber wine barrels create an atmosphere of rusticity while clever lighting in the joinery and ceiling enhances the warm, subdued atmosphere.

From every angle throughout the premises, the harbour view is enjoyed and open space encourages a collaborative work culture. The rustic yet sophisticated reception area and bar provide the perfect setting to promote the new face of Rockville Wine & Co.
