AIA updates Google Earth offering

AIA on Google.

THIS JUST in from our friends in Australia… the Australian Institute of Architects has relaunched its online offering with Google Earth.

Two years ago, the AIA created the opportunity to view more than 600 state and territory award-winning projects. From this month, those wanting to access the Institute’s layer on Google Earth can do so directly from the Institute’s website.

An increase in the number of projects featured to more than 650 state- and architecture-award winning projects are now featured from around Australia and internationally.

Head for this page on the Institute’s website and follow the instructions to download the Google Earth plug-in to activate the Institute layer. Once activated you can use the search functions or click on Institute icons to view photographs and details of the Institute’s award winning project.
